Hi All,
I am planning to appear for GMAT on 1st October, so I have 1 month and 8 days left for the preparation. Last 8 days I would like to leave for AWA and brushing up the concepts, so in reality I only have 1 month left.
Going 3 months back, I started my preparation in June 1st week with a grammar book and "word power made easy" book, which I thought would be good to provide me a platform for the verbal. I then started with verbal in July, and completed all verbal books from MGMAT, including end of the chapter questions from MGMAT along with recommended OG questions. I finished all three MGMAT books in July and started with 5 quant book in early August.
I am about to finish last MGMAT quant book on Geometry. Most likely, I will finish today. After this, I plan to attempt MGMAT question bank, in which each section contains 25 questions.
Now that I have covered theory, I would like to attempt at least one diagnostic test, and I am thinking to attempt first MGMAT CAT. This will also give me confidence because I am definitely lacking that now. Once I know where I stand after attempting first MGMAT test, my plan is to focus on week areas and practice(Mostly from OG, OG verbal, Kaplan) more on those areas. Can someone please validate my strategy if I am on the right track?
I am confused because I have few options to consider but not sure which path to take for the last month:

- Since many gurus on this forum recommended that the CR power score bible and SC grail are the best books for these sections, I would definitely like to cover these books before I attempt the real test. But if try to complete these books, I may not get enough practice for the test.
- Main problem I am facing is of time, and I am not confident with my preparation. Thus, I am not sure if I should consider postponing the exam to be prepared more before I attempt my first real GMAT exam.
- I have attempted OG only while doing MGMAT and I don't think I will have enough time to attempt OG again. In fact, I wanted to attempt OG verbal and Kaplan as well, but I don't think I will have enough time. Shall I leave the option of studying other books and focus on practice from these books?
Of the options above, What do you recommend? Also, please let me know if you have any other suggestions for me. Thanks!

You should take GMATPrep to know where you stand, don't delay it as this is the only way you will know where your weaknesses lie. Then concentrate specifically on these areas.
Powerscore CR is not a hard book to read and there is guidance within where it tells you to skip to certain chapters if you do not have enough time.
-Do the Test
-Cover weaknesses in review guides
-Practice OG questions in weak areas (Timed!!)

I definitely have more questions about doing OG questions timed. How do you do it? There are several reasons why I think it's not a good idea to do OG questions timed. For one I know OG questions are not distributed with varied difficulty from start to end. So you might be able to crack every question under 1 min from the begining but may take more than 4 mins towards the end. Second, maintaining accurate timing is going to be hard because clock is not running as it does during CATs. Can you please elaborate how you do it?
