I'm studying quant now, but what i do as a back check is review some verbal rules every now and then (flash cards on my phone while waiting for doctors appointments, stuck in traffic, etc.) and another thing that helps is just answering questions that people post on this forums. Maybe you could do that in the quant forums, you dont want to phase it out completely
