Hi All
I recently joined GMAT club and started preparaing for GMAT a few months ago.To give a small Background about myself ,Iam an Engineering garduate with close to 5years of Work Experience in IT.
Iam targeting a score of around 750 ,a quant score of around 50 and verbal score of above 40.I need some advise from GMAT experts in this forum in this regard.Can anyone tell me approximately how many questions out of Quant 37 and verbal 41 do I need to answer correctly in the exam to acheive this score . Maths is my stronger section ,so trageting a score of 50-51 in Qaunt Section .Iam able to solve most of the Quant Questions posted in this forum (PS and DS Questions posted under different difficulty level 500,600 ,700) correctly , OG questions with accuracy rate of 95% but sometimes some questions take long time to solve(around 6-7 mins) and in some ie tricky Questions given in 700 category here I make really silly mikstakes .
Verbal is my weaker section and accuracy rate for Verbal when I solved OG 12 questions is as below :Sentence Correction (Used to get around average 5-6 question ,at max 7 question correctly per 10 Questions ) Critical reasonig (7-8 question correctly per 10 Questions ) and RC (7-8 out of correctly per 10 Questions ). I want to improve my accuracy and speed in this section badly. I solved OG questions in untimed condition ,so took pretty long for me to answer these questions ,above the approx 90 seconds given to solve each verbal question.
Can you guys kindly suggest a study plan for me in Qaunt ,Verbal ,books I can follow to acheive a score of Quant Score 50-51and Score of above 40 in Verbal Section in GMAT .

Welcome to the GMAT Club! I hope that we can be of service to you are your GMAT journey. Let me start and just point you in the right direction to get you started. BUt first, let me say that a 750 is achievable, but you REALLY need to work your butt off. So good luck!

2) There is no exact number of right or wrong answers in both sections to achieve your score. The reason for this is the test is Computer Adaptive (CAT) which means that the more questions you get right, the harder the questions will get, and that means you will miss more questions. But that is ok, b/c you want to see the hardest questions b/c that means you are doing well! You will get a feeling for what this feels like after you've taken some practice tests.
