Hello everyone,
I recently took 6 Knewton Practice Tests, and the followings are the results:
Diagnostic: Q45 V34 Total: 640
Practice 1: Q43 v45 Total:710
Practice 2: Q45 V39 Total: 680
Practice 3: Q45 V31 Total: 620
Practice 4: Q39 V36 Total: 610
Practice 5: Q50 V30 Total: 680
The thing is I took the first 3 tests on the same day, next 2 on the following day and the final one the day after. I scored 660 on my last 2 official GMAT attempts. (Q49, V31 and Q44, V38)
Should I just take the average of Q and V scores over 6 Knewton practice tests to get an idea of how I will score on my next GMAT attempt? I am especially worried about the broad range of the scores in each section. My Q score is more or less consistent around 45 levels, but V score is all over the place. I am suprised by my 610, 620 and 640 scores on 3 of these CATs, especially given I usually scored +700 on GMAT Prep tests. Did anyone have a similar experience?

I do not have a suggestion as to how you should interpret the variations in your scores. My I ask what your strategy was in taking so many tests in a row? Did you attempt different approaches each time? This is just speculation, but some of the variation may have resulted from factors outside the tests themselves, such as fatigue.

well, i have only a week before the actual test..unfortunately, i cannot take 2-3 weeks off from work to study for the gmat..so i had to cram all the practice tests into the 1st half of the week and reviewing my mistakes into the 2nd half..yes, you are right, what you are suggesting perhaps explains the problem to a certain extent..

No, no, no, no, no... Don't do this. You scored very well and did a fantastic job on those CAT exams. By averaging the score, you get nothing but the average of 6 scores. Don't waste time trying to dictate what you MAY score. Instead, go through each exam and spend some time on each of the questions (whether you answered correctly or not). Learn those concepts. It's a much better use of your time.
Good luck and do well! Bring that 700+ back home!
