Hi All,
I am targetting 780. I thought I was doing well until I took two Kaplan tests yesterday.
Kap Test1 : 700 q50(0 mistakes) v37(11 mistakes)
Kap Test2 : 670 q50(0 mistakes) v37(11 mistakes)

Here are somethings I noticed about Kap tests:
- CR questions were lengthy.
- RC was very difficult. So was SC :(
- I had a big time problem - had to ignore the last RC passage in both the tests.

I am a little depressed with my performance on Kap tests.
Can anyone share any insights/similar experiences?

Don't think u have anything to worry, I had the same issue with Kap # 1 y'day, I scored 620 (50-Q, 31-V) .....Kap verbal is totally diff than OG, PPs etc. They are not true reflection of the actual test, they r different. Based on other's experience, I have decided to ignore the scores and use them only for practice and Quant. I pretty much gave up on verbal 1/3 through the section. I felt that the CAT ques are even different than Kap's books themselves.

You are on the right track. I actually never scored too well on Kaplan CD although I ended up with 710 and yes, their verbal is way too difficult. Their CD is definitely good for stamina building. If you have 700 on one of their CD, you are on a very good track. 780 is a very high target score but remember that at that level, on any given day, a same test taker could be at +/- 30 points of his true score level :)

i agree with Paul. With a 700 in a Kaplan test you're well on your way to a very outstanding score.
