I scored a 640 on my first GMAT attempt: 41Q (54th percentile) 38V (84th percentile).

I tried GMATPill and my last GMATPrep practice test was a 720 but I **** the bed on the real thing!

I am trying to decide between the MGMAT 9-week course or Economist GMAT Tutor. I'm not as worried about the verbal section and wondering if all the extra verbal work included with MGMAT's 9 week course would be worth it or should I only concentrate on doing Quant problems through Economist? Thanks in advance for the advice!

I would suggest a private tutor. If you are okay with verbal, then you're wasting your time/money in a class that covers both subject areas.

I would recommend you to get "Advanced GMAT Quant" published by Manhattan GMAT. For further information, you can search about the book review in this website.

Why don't you check out the 7-day free trial from Economist GMAT Tutor? That will give you a good sense of whether the quant portion of the program is just what you need to boost your score. The free trial includes one private strategy session with a tutor, so you will be able to ask him or her all of the academic questions about the course and your study strategy that you need to.

If you want plus 700. Work on your verbal. At the higher levels it your verbal score that makes a difference. So would recommend you try both.
Go to the MGMAT free trail class and see what you think. I loved it.

While it's true that verbal will definitely boost your overall score, schools may be concerned with a 51st percentile quant score. Don't completely abandon verbal, but quant should still be your top priority.

My advise.... GMATCLUB is the best source for quant problems..... Bunuel has some good materials (listed in his signature)... Keep practicing and you should be good.... Apart from this club, MGMAT quant books are proven to be good.... You can try them....
