Since the accuracy of practice exams from different companies have often been debated here I thought I would report my experience.

Today, I took a practice exam from Veritas for the first time. I have taken several Manhattan exams, GmatPrep exam 1, 2, and 3 and the "real GMAT" at the end of April in the past.

With the exception of the very first GmatPrep exam which I took at the VERY beginning of my studies (pretty much without having studied at all at that point) I scored exactly the same on every single test including the real GMAT at the testing center. 580.
I have noticed, however, that my verbal score has slightly gone up while my quant score has gone down which is bad in my case because my verbal score was already much better than my quant score. Now the difference is even bigger.

In conclusion, as far as I am concerned the exams are all the same! No major differences. I am actually kind of frustrated about this because it just shows that 5 months of preparation have taken me nowhere at all. I am still at the same level despite 300-400 hours of study time.

I am not making any progress obviously and although I am slowly running out of time here, I still feel like I need to take a break for now. I am feeling incredibly burnt out at this point.

This may have (or maybe it didn't) even impacted my score on today's practice exams because I caught myself thinking several times :"I really don't give a crap. Blah blah let's just pick "C"
Insider story here is that many years ago another undergraduate student told me that the right answer is always "C" Whenever I don't know the answer to a question this ridiculous statement comes to my mind.

Hey Silviax,

I'm sorry to hear that test day did not go as well as you wanted to.

When it comes to psychological aspects of the test and stress management - make sure you think extreme positivity and pay attention to this critical element of the test. We highly recommend that you read through the psychological tips that we put together for you on this blog post:

Best of luck - we are here to help.

In my experience, the GMATPrep Exam (the official) was the most accurate one. I had the same score on the Prep and at the real one. The only thing I did is to rest before the exam and mostly, just doing one every 2 weeks, otherwise, I was to burned out to cope the GMAT.
