ok done thanks, ill get the 6th edition since i dont previously own a 5th one

also, l know u mentioned in the study plan to start from book 1 and end till book 10.
my question is, when i do the OG during this time? I have taken 1 practise test. Now I plan to go through MGMAT set. Do I study the OG after Im done studying all 10 books in MGMAT set? Finally, can i also do practise tests and questions while im studying the 10 books?

thank you!!

I am also using the complete MGMAT 6th Edition Series. Currently, I am reading each book and completing the Easy and Moderate Quizzes in the OG16 at the same time. I am saving the Hard Quizzes and the PS / DS by Topic until after reviewing the full series.

I would love if someone else commented on the viability of this strategy?

Hi All,

Beginning your studies with book-based study is perfectly fine. However, many Test Takers who use a 'book heavy' study approach end up getting 'stuck' at a particular score level. Even the best books are limited in what they can teach you; they also can't force you to approach questions in a certain way and their explanations are often one-sided. As such, you'll likely end up needing to invest in some non-book resources.

1) Have you taken a FULL-LENGTH CAT yet (with the Essay and IR sections)? How did you score?
2) What is your goal score?
3) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

Hi jonmarrow,

Raising a 480 to a 650+ will take some serious work and likely at least 2-3 months of consistent study. Given your goal, and the general limits of book-heavy study, you should study as you see fit for the next 2-3 weeks, then take a new FULL-LENGTH CAT (with the Essay and IR sections). That score result will help to define how well your studies are going, and some of the potential adjustments that you might have to make to your routine.
