I just took the last of 6 available gmat prep CATs (exam pack 2), and ended up getting a 50/42 (760) overall. I ended up getting 4 verbal questions wrong (2 CR, 1 reading comp, 1 SC)
However, in a previous CAT, I've gotten 6 questions wrong on verbal and got a 45 on the section.
Is this disparity even possible?

It is an adaptive algorithm with 30% experimental questions. It is possible to get the same score with a variety of right/wrong combinations or vice verse.
The score only depends on the number of hard questions you get right. Not the number of total questions you get wrong.

How about easy questions bb? I have heard no. of wrong easy questions contribute more to the downfall than the number of hard correct question to the improvement. Is that true?
