I have been recently trying to use GMAT Wiley in order to get better used to solving questions on the screen instead of on paper.
Is it better to practice with questions sorted based on difficulty level or is it better to have a random set of questions with varying difficulty?
I feel I would have higher accuracy in the former, knowing the difficulty of the question I am dealing with. However, the latter imitates the test more accurately where mostly the difficulty level of the question is unknown.
Please suggest what's a better approach?

Hi abansal1805,
It depends on which phase of preparation are you in.
If you have just started your prep and finished learning concepts then it is better to try questions choosing difficulty level to find what difficulty level questions you've become comfortable with.
If you have already practiced alot and are giving CATs and practicing the weak areas then it is natural that let it all be adaptive and timed.
Third strategy is having command on really weak areas that you discover through CATs and practice. These are the ones that require you to revise concepts, and do questions with all difficulty levels and then crush them in CAT the next you face them.

Generally agree - in the beginning, we'd recommend starting with easy and progressing to difficult - just to gain familiarity with the question types and gain confidence in navigating through the online test interface.
Once you have a sense of where your strengths and weaknesses are, you can put more attention into your problem areas (i.e. word problems involving rates, number line questions, etc)
After a period of focus on specific areas - then we would recommend mixing questions up.
