Hi
ntbro,
Welcome to GMATClub!
Its a good thing that you started with a mock to understand your initial level.
It quite clear that you need to improve in both the sections, but it might make
sense to spend more time on Quant for now as it can easily be improved to Q48-49.
Also, I feel going through the Manhattan Guides and slowing down on the Verbal,
should do the trick to improve your Verbal score!
The scoring pattern on the GMATPrep tests(2 free tests available at mba.com)
are the closest to the real tests and these tests are the most reliable indicators
to your current performance. I would recommend you to take one of the free tests
when you feel you are relatively comfortable with the concepts. In addition to the
free tests, there are 4 more tests which you can buy for a price of around 100$.
If you wish to use the forum effectively for your Quant preparation, Follow Bunuel.
His signature contains some awesome questions that give you the true taste of GMAT
Math(Baker's Dozen, 12 Easy Pieces etc.. ) Solve each and every question he puts up
on the forum. They definitely give you all the practice that you need for Quant.
If you prefer using books, you should definitely try the Manhattan Guides, which
help you with the understanding of the basics.
You could use the
study plan here at GMATClub, which should definitely
help you stay on track!
These are some links which I found to be very beneficial in order to build your concepts.
