It's not tricks that get you a high score, it's getting answers right.

My last week before the test, I drilled through about 200 problems on magoosh that were mediums. It was a good confidence boost and I really focused on reading the question, understanding it, and solving it mistake free. For the last 2-3 days I did nothing other than write a single awa practice essay. Veritas, Manhattan, magoosh, and especially the official gmat books, will all be plenty good to practice.

I can't think of a single "trick" that I used. The only "fancy formula" I used was a single 30-60-90 problem. Unless you are at a q50/51 you will be pretty unlikely to see anything that can't be solved with basic knowledge and good techniques.

Also, not only does solving a bunch of mediums correctly reinforce good habits, going into the test confident and calm can have a a surprising effect on your performance.

I completely agree with the advice that treating the last week like a sprint could be harmful, and may put unneeded stress on yourself. Instead of doing 100s of questions, go over the questions you got wrong, and start to group them in buckets for why you made that mistake. If you can eliminate 5-10 error zones, that could be enough to crack 710. Best of luck to you!

My frustration is that just before both tests I scored a 710 (Q47 V40) and a 720 (Q48 V40) in GMAT Prep tests.
Were these GMATPreps "fresh" (or had you already seen some of the questions)?

If you have the Esr reports then i would suggest that you work on the areas where you went wrong but are relatively comfortable with. For quant there's a list of 700-800 level question from IVY gmat that might help you. Good luck :-)

Hi all,

I´ve taken GMAT twice and have another test scheduled in 10 days.
In my first attempt, I had a 680 (Q46 V38) and in the second a 640.
My frustration is that just before both tests I scored a 710 (Q47 V40) and a 720 (Q48 V40) in GMAT Prep tests.

Considering GMAT prep and Veritas mock tests, my quant results have varying in the 45-48 range and verbal in the 36-40. My biggest weakeness is sentence correction and making silly mistakes in not so hard quant questions (tipycally getting the right response but answering not what is asked).

Would you guys have any material/strategy reccomendations on this 1 week intense preparation to take my quant to 48-50 range and verbal to 38-42?
I took a break off from work and I will be fully dedicated to GMAT.

Thanks all!
Also please dp the additional Question pack maybe in last week. That will give you a better idea
