thegame12
Hello everyone,
I bought the 6th edition of the
MGMAT last week but it seems that there is some problems with my book.
For example, in the book number 1 (fractions, decimals and %),there is a problem set at the end of each chapter.
''4. What is the ratio of x:y:z?
(1) x+y=2z
(2) 2x+3y=z''
and then they switch to the next question. (page 103)
however, in the answer they said I needed to chose between 4 solutions,
1- Number 1 only is sufficient
2- Number 2 only is sufficient
3- Neither 1 and 2 is...
4-Both are sufficient
Is it normal that I did not see these choices on the book? So I need to guess what are the 4 choices everytime I hve this type of question?
thank you
Hi
thegame12,
That is no printing problem. Even in OG you will see Question stamp and two statements only. Following instructions are not going to present for every question.
A Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.
B Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.
C BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.
D EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.
E Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are not sufficient.
In fact in the Manhattan guides itself there are strategies to learn when the answer choice is A or other. you would not need those instructions.
Anyway you have to memorise those instruction to map with A,B,C,D & E to avoide wasting time looking at them again and again.
Hope your doubt is clear.
