Dear GMAT community,
I am now working on the GMAT for over one month. Regarding the Quant section, I am working with Kaplan books. I do almost all exercices pretty easily however when it comes to the real GMAT preparation software I get disappointing results. What do you think about Kaplan books ? What were the books you found to be closer from real GMAT questions ?
I am also thinking about taking a self-preparation package. However, I am a bit lost between all existing products (Magoosh, E-GMAT, Empower GMAT, Veritas...). What is for you the most comprehensive package ? I am targeting a 660-700 score.

To start, there's a big difference between working through small sets of questions in a book and completing a FULL-LENGTH CAT under realistic conditions. In addition, many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so the challenges that you're facing might be due to the fact that you haven't put in that much study time yet.
Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) What study materials have you used besides the books that you've named?
2) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for each)?
Goals:
3) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
5) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
