Great piece of advice. Your first advice (RC will make or break the score) might however, nudge test-takers to exclusively focus on RC (at the expense of CR/SC). That might not be the best strategy.

I remember coming across an ESR last year (on GMATClub) where the test-taker had a decent 34/35 on Verbal, despite scoring in the zero percentile (you read it right) on RC.

In the new format, things might change, but that would at best be conjecturing at this point of time.
