Looking for advice here...
I've been consistently good at Verbal. My first diagnostic, I scored a 45 on Verbal. 3 months later, I've never scored below a 45 on any Verbal section across 10+ exams.
Before you say wow! That's so amazing! let me tell you about my Quant score, which is a nightmare.
Initially, I was scoring 19. I know, what?! I've gotten that up to 36 on average, but that's still sub 50th percentile. I've been using Magoosh, watching vids, and done the entire MGMT book set.
Is the real answer just hammering out as many Q's as I can get through and doing an error log? If I am honest, I get easily discouraged with Quant and do not currently keep an error log. 75% of the time when I get a question wrong, I don't try to understand why because I just feel like I'm always going to suck at Quant.
Feeling discouraged! Test is in June.

Unfortunately, yes. If you got through the MGMAT books and Magoosh videos, then the answer is doing OG questions, keeping an error log, and then hammering out more questions on your weakest errors. Once you do the OG questions, move to the GMATClub tests, get crushed by those, and then go back to the OG right before the test.
Long story short: do a TON of questions.

Hi
A score of 36 in Quant suggests that you need to brush up the fundamentals. Go through the Mgmat guides thoroughly. It is enough for covering the concepts and strategies. Maintain an error log and keep going through it at regular intervals. Avoid silly mistakes. Keep a positive attitude and practice Quant as much as possible.

Hi,
First of, your Verbal score is very very impressive. Even studying for years people don't score V45. So this is something you should cherish. Q36 is almost 40 %, so you have enough scope to improve this. Start from GMAT club Quant directory : https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-math-qu ... 7/?fl=menu
Follow Bunuel on GMAT club. MGMAT guides are great for learning concepts. Now start with all OGs from 2010 to 2018 if possible. Also you can try GMATprepnow videos. I feel they are very easy to understand and great for improving from Q36 to at least Q45.

IMO, What you need to understand is the reason for getting a low score. If it is
the unfamiliarity of the concepts, you need to get back to the drawing board and
work on the concept(at least in the topics you make the maximum mistakes in)
You could easily identify this problem by going through your most recent tests.
If this is not the problem, you could sign up for a prep company. In my limited
experience on the forum - EmpowerGMAT and TargetTestPrep are good options
in order to improve in the Quant section. They might help you understand where
you are faltering and improve your scores.

If you are scoring in excess of 45 in Verbal with a Q45(which is a realistic goal)
you could be looking at a fabulous GMAT score! All the best with the prep.

To start, the answer to your immediate question is NO - working through lots of additional practice questions, in the same ways as before, will likely NOT lead to the type of improvement that you're looking for. Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)? Were these CATs in the old format or the new, shorter format?
2) Have you taken the FULL CAT each time (including the Essay and IR sections)?
Goals:
3) What is your overall goal score?
4) What is your exact Test Date?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

I think the answer is a combination of everything you've mentioned.
1. Do a lot of questions. That'll help make the process more "automatic".
2. Maintain an error log.
3. You must try to understand where you went wrong. If you don't review your questions properly, you won't learn as much, or as efficiently.
I'm sure a lot of people would disagree, but I feel that most people who can do well on one section (quant/verbal) can do at least reasonably well on the other section (verbal/quant). If you work hard enough, I don't see any reason for you to not be able to get Q49 (or more).
