Hi dkumar2012,

Many Test Takers who use a 'book heavy' study approach end up getting 'stuck' at a particular score level; from what you describe, your prior studies were book heavy - so it's possible that that this has happened to you as well. To hit your Goal Score, you'll likely end up needing to invest in some new, non-book resources.

1) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?
2) Can you provide a bit more information about why you have to take the GMAT by the first week of July? If you don't hit your Score Goal by then, will you continue to study or will you apply with whatever Score you have?

Hi Rich,
I think you are right by saying I used book heavy approach. Because by not giving practice tests I dug my own grave for GMAT score. I used goatclub but mostly for quant and spend almost negligible time on verbal except for the OG and theory part.

1) I can put atlest 30-40 hrs a week
2) even if I can't score what I desire I will apply. ( I am 32 years old now and this year is the last chance for me to apply to 2years MBA as I am already in above average age range for most of the B-Schools. Also without scholarship I won't be going for MBA so first round of the application is my target. I think I have max chance in round one.

Hi dkumar2012,

If your entire application plan hinges on your ability to receive a Scholarship, then you have to do everything in your power to increase your chances of receiving a Scholarship? Do you know what the 'requirements' are for that type of Scholarship at each of the Programs that you plan to apply to? What restrictions/qualifications are there? Is there a minimum GMAT Score needed? Etc. With the right training, time and effort, I think that you could score significantly higher than this 620, but we have to know exactly what needs to be accomplished. Right now, I'm concerned that you're overly focused on this July 'deadline' and the idea that you must apply for Round 1 instead of having all of the necessary information to put together the best overall plan possible.
