Hi,
I am applying this year and I am doing GMAT prep. My goal is a top ranked business school.
I took a practce test back in May and scored 530 (blind with no prep). as 66% in verbal, 30% percentile in quant.
i am doing prep now and I am wondering if it will be more benefitical for me to use my GRE scores instead and just improve in math.
I scored 160 V / 155 Q. (85% / 60%) I would take the math prep im doing now and retest to get up to 160.
I am african american female, top 10 undergrad. 3 years work experience in market research/entertainment.
what are your thoughts? Would it be terrible to use my GRE score? I want to make the most efficient use of my time.

Thank you for your post and for sharing for your profile. Indeed, time is of the essence when applying, so I recommend you improve your GRE scores instead. Universities do not have a preference between the two (GRE vs. GMAT). I would focus the saved time on working on and improving the remainder of the required documents, so you submit a strong application.

You're not very familiar with the GMAT, and that could be the reason for the difference in scores. Your familiarity with the GRE could really help you out here, so that would be the test that makes most sense given the amount of time you have, but if I were you, I'd still take a fresh GMAT practice test and a fresh GRE practice test to check which one I should take.
