First mock score

Question

Hello experts .. I took gmat prep software practice test for the first time and I got only 280 .. I’m worried .. need suggestions..

Hi YashO7 Welcome to GMATClub! Congrats on taking the first step. It's not a great score but what is important is to remember that it is only a starting point

Since you are beginning with preparation, I would recommend you to do the following things. To build the basic strategy to tackle GMAT, you could use the Manhattan Strategy Guides. It makes sense to clear your concepts for every topic and then follow it up with some practice. You could use the PowerScore CR bible in order to build concepts for CR. You should use the Timer feature to time yourself once you are familiar with the concepts. Make it a habit to sure you solve each and every question he puts up on the forum to improve your accuracy once you have completed the concepts. 1) Please describe how you have been studying. For many hours a day and for how many months? What resources have you been using?
 
2) To what programs will you be applying? What are the deadlines for these programs?
 
3) By when would you LIKE to take the GMAT? By when MUST you take the GMAT?
 
4) How many hours a day, on average, can you study between now and your next GMAT?
 
5) What is your GMAT score goal?
