I see no attachment. Per the forum rules, you will have to make at least 5 posts to become eligible to attach files. That said, I believe the experts would still need to see your ESR. Therefore, could you try sending me the ESR over a direct message? Alternately, you can reach the 5 posts marks and then attach the file yourself. Make sure to mask your name and GMAT ID. Thank you.

Hello -

I have studied for the GMAT using online sources (GMAT Club, GMATPrep, etc.),GMAT OG 2019 book, and the Manhattan Prep books for approximately 2 months. Over the course of 2 months, I took approximately 8 practice exams (consistent with the timing of the real exam). I was ranging around 640 or so on average across the 8 exams.

On my official GMAT, I scored a 630 (40Q, 36V, 6 IR, 6 AWA). I purchased my ESR, but I'm having trouble truly understanding what my weakness was so I can target it. During the Math portion, I felt more rushed by the end of it which seems to reflect in my ESR.

I'm hoping to retake the GMAT while the content is still fresh in my mind and I have enough time to target my weak areas. Looking for advice on how to get started with a retake strategy and what online courses you recommend. I'm hoping an online course will force a strict study schedule as my work-life balance is going to be tested until September or so and my motivation to self-study after a long work day is falling.

Happy to provide any more needed information - looking for any advice. Thank you in advance!

Hi,

As you have a decent Verbal score, I would advise you to work on quants. you can start with GMAT Club tests. they are more than enough. there are 25 tests, start solving the test and never be disappointed with the result of the test. those tests covers each and every topic and after doing 10-12 tests you will start feeling confeident. After you finish the test, the review part will be very important. review each and every question and you will start exploring your weakness. as soon as you identify that you are weak in certain area, go to GMAT club thread of question solving. there is a thread which has topic wise questions. start with lever 500, then 600 and finally 700. try doing 40 questions for each level. if you do this I can assure you you will score great mark.

feel free to ping me for any query in quants.

All the best. :)

Your first focus needs to be on answering the WHY question. Why did you fall short the last time?

The answer needs to be specific and more often than not focused on your in-question process.

Here are some example questions that you need be able to answer:

1) do you preprocess Data Sufficiency (DS) prompts and statement before tackling the question?
2) is your capture consistently complete so you don't have to return to the confusing wording of typical gmat questions?
3) are you visualizing quant problems well -- getting them out of word format so you can spot patterns and solutions more quickly?
4) are you using estimation and / or quick calc methods to speed your final stage execution in quant problems.

There are many more diagnostic questions for quant and verbal -- collectively they will create focus for your retake prep and are used as the foundation for GMAT Performance Coaching.
