GMAT Official Practice Exams 1 and 2 question types and subjects

Hi there,

I took the GMAT Official Practice Exam 1 yesterday and would like to focus on the question types and areas that I answered incorrectly. Is there a reference for this exam and exam 2 as to what the question types are and their subjects?

For example something like "Practice exam 1, quantitative question 3 - problem solving, geometry". I looked on the MBA and GMAT Official Practice site and did not see a reference list for this. Is this something available to the public?

after you take the gmat practice test from gmat makers they provide you with test review where you can review the questions with their solutions.

You can use your pen and paper and write down the question types. It is only 65 or so questions, so should not take super long if you want to do it but no, GMAC does not offer much of analytics for the GMAT Prep

P.S. Many of the questions have been discussed and have a timer/difficulty/category associated with them. If you want, you can quickly search on GMAT Club/Google and as long as you land on GMAT Club, you will see the question's main classification and relative difficulty vs. how the other members of the community answered it. Not a perfect system but better than anything else out there

I understand that. As a newbie I didn't want to incorrectly categorize which category each question falls under, so I thought there was already a resource for this like the OG 2020 Quant question list thread.

There are over 500 questions in the GMAT Prep Quant and 300 or so in the verbal. (That’s the quantity needed since the test is adaptive). I am not sure you would want to hunt for that/those in that long of a list but it is an interesting idea potentially....

There are that many questions on the GMAT Practice Exams on MBA's website? I wasn't aware that the algorithm for populating the questions was implemented on those practice exams. If that's the case then it would be quite tasking to undertake such an activity.

What was your score on your practice exam, and what is your score goal? Are you just starting out with your prep? I ask because, if you are just starting out, and you scored somewhat far off your score goal, just be careful about focusing too much on the data from your practice exam. 67 questions is quite a small sample size, so it’s quite likely that you need to improve in many GMAT areas in order to improve your GMAT score and not just in the areas of the types of questions you answered incorrectly on your practice exam.
