Starting my GMAT journey, looking to build a study plan

Hi guys,

I hope everyone is safe and well during this pandemic. I was looking to take advantage of the time I currently have to get going on my GMAT prep and I was looking to take my first attempt in the beginning of August. I just did a diagnostic test from Kaplan and I got an overall score of 540 (36Q, 28V) and 6 on IR. My goal is to get above 720 and I know it will require tons of work considering where I'm starting from, but I am willing to put in the work and have tons of time (just finished undergrad and hoping to start my MBA in 3-4 years).

I have all the Manhattan study guides and official guides including some other misc material. I was wondering if I could get some guidance on how to build a study plan that's tailored to my goal and starting point.

Hello, ManjinderK, and welcome to the community. You might find the GMAT Club Study Plan useful, particularly since Souvik, the author of the plan and a 99th-percentile scorer, utilizes the Manhattan Prep guides. You could adjust the plan as necessary to extend it beyond the current timeline. That IR score is quite good as a starting point, and neither the Verbal nor the Quant scores are poor. You can check out other study plans on the site--or even offsite, such as through Magoosh, but once you choose a plan, stick to it. You might want to break away and try something else, but that will only make it harder to follow the next plan.

Starting my GMAT journey, looking to build a study plan

I took GMAT yesterday at the test center and got 730. What I used are:

1. OG 2020
2. Manhattan Prep 6th edition
3. Math Revolution (one-month offer)
4. GMATNinja's verbal posts and youtube videos
5. GMAT™ Official Practice Questions + Exams 3 to 6
6. GMAT™ Official Advanced Questions

These should be enough although I think Math Revolution can be replaced by many other courses. I highly recommend the other five materials mentioned above.
