Is it possible to reach to 650 on the GMAT in a month and half from 500? If so, how?

Posted from my mobile device

Hi OK735,

An improvement is definitely possible provided you focus on the right parameters. Having said that, improving by 150 points requires a lot of effort. This is possible if you have a proper study plan with clear deadlines which will keep you motivated right through the end. Let me share my insights here.

A score of 500 indicates that you are likely having a few conceptual gaps and are struggling with the application of concepts. S, it is important that you focus on these parameters.

The path forward:

Without knowing the details, I can only give you a general advice. I would recommend you to identify your weaker areas and then start working on them.
  • Identify the areas in which you have conceptual gaps (You can do this by analyzing your previous mocks)
  • Go through the concepts of these topics and understand them clearly
  • Learn the methodology required to solve questions (Deal with one topic at a time)
  • Spend enough time to compare your approach with the right one
  • Start applying the methodology by practicing a few questions
  • Once you do this for all your weaker areas, start taking mocks
  • If you consistently score 650 or above in a couple of mocks, then you are good to book a slot

Having said that, to suggest you a more specific plan, I would require a more one-on-one interaction with you. We can connect over a zoom conference call and quickly narrow down things. This way we can make a proper study plan so that you focus on the right parameters. Hope it helped. Hi OK375,

I actually just responded to your other post here: https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-prepara ... 35644.html

In that post you mentioned that you had a score goal of 700. Can you please provide some clarity regarding your situation with the GMAT? Once I have that information, I can provide some further advice.
