SC1987
Hi All,
I began GMAT preparation by taking a paid Veritas test before getting started on study plan.
This was more of a diagnostic test and I secured 600 in the first attempt. Given that the score is very far from my target of 720, wanted to check if anyone had similar experience.
Also, I have read that Veritas tests are tougher and actual GMAT score could be higher than this. Would love to hear from others on this (though I am assuming that 600 is my current achievable score in actual GMAT exam).
Regards
Sid

First of all, 600 is a decent score to start with, considering the fact that you took the test without any preparation. Having said that, it would have been ideal if you had taken the official mock because the official mocks are the closest to the actual test. So, if it's possible for you to take an official mock (
You will be provided with 2 official mocks for free on the official mba website), I would suggest you to go ahead with it and assess your current level.
And as you have just started your prep, I think it's better for you to know the in and out of GMAT and how to strategize your prep in the right way. So, if you wish to know how to approach your prep and how to make a study plan, feel free to get in touch with me over a call using the below link. Moreover, we could analyze your performance and narrow down things once you have taken the mock.
