One friend of mine took the test recently and managed to increase score from 750 to 760. Also improved on IR Score.
Even though IR is generally ignored, she mentioned a slight chance of getting a scholarship or something down the line, When things go down to the wire with only 2 candidates for one spot, the one with better IR might take the seat, assuming both have same GMAT and similar scores through etc.
But I don't think this is something I would consider and I would rather concentrate on profile, Essays etc.

750 is a fantastic score. Although you do not have to retake, if you feel you can bump up your overall GMAT score as well as your IR score with a retake, then you certainly can give it a shot.

Hi newuse,

First off, a 750 is an outstanding Score, so you can comfortably apply to any Business Schools that interest you. As such, a retest is not necessary. Many Business Schools have publicly stated that they do not use an applicant's IR score when evaluating an application, so you likely have nothing to be concerned about with an IR5. However, if you're interested in what a specific School/Program thinks about the IR score, then you should research that School directly (you might also consider contacting the School to ask). Schools generally do not put too much emphasis on the AWA either; in general, a AWA Score of 4.0 or higher is fine - and with a 5.0 in that section, you're fine there too. This is all meant to say that your time would likely be better spent working on other aspects of your profile/applications.

Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

That is purely her opinion. I feel the interview or background or all kinds of other things Walker would come in in front of the AR score. At that point, we might as well let height decide scholarships 😂

We all believe what we want and we also don’t know everything which creates kind of this gray space for speculation but looking at the fact that not a single business school has published their average IR scores or provided any kind of guidance about IR, I am inclined to think they really don’t care a whole lot about it. Some schools are taking the GRE for example. Actually move schools accept GRE. It does not have an IR section. If schools really cared about IR, they would require the GMAT and they would publish their average scores and those would also make their way into the rankings but none of that has happened. Only your overall GMAT score matters is what I tend to believe. There is some secondary thoughts about Q and V being too lopsided (can be a strength by the way) but when it comes to IR and AWA, As long as you get some thing above 50%, it will not attract any attention.
