Hello guys,
My brief background: I am an Indian Male 28 yr old with >6 yr (till date) work experience in Management consulting.
I need some help in deciding if I should retake GMAT exam.
GMAT 1 (02 July’22) : 620 (Q49 V25)
GMAT 2 (02nd Aug’22) : 700 (Q50, V35)GMAT 3 (05th Sept’22): 690 (Q50, V30) (Not sure but I think a bad test day)
I was devastated last week when I saw a 690 on 3rd attempt even after putting significant efforts. I was scoring around 700-710 in official mocks. But since score can vary by +-30 points, I doubt if 680 (2nd Attempt) is the best I could have done.
I am targeting
R2 application round (Dec‘22-Jan’23)Target B-schools: McCombs, Kelley, Kenan Flagler, Tepper, London Business school, Oxford, Cambridge, W.P. Carey, Olin (I know I would have to filter some out)
Though Avg. GMAT Score for most of the schools mentioned above is 680- 690, I am wondering if I should retake GMAT because I
have to rely on scholarship (atleast partial)
I have seen students getting full scholarship at WP Carey or Olin schools, but I want to know if 700 is too low a score for scholarship consideration in general. My GMAT Prep has reached a saturation point since I am preparing for about 6 months.
Given the time constraints, should I put more efforts to reach atleast 720 level or focus my energy towards drafting applications? Please help.
