Hi all,

i scored very poorly in my GMAT 660 with v31 and Q49. I was not able to score 50 in Quants, even though i used to get around 50/51 in Manhattan mocks. Also my speed in verbal was too less and i could complete only 27 question by the time 3 minutes were left and rest 10 questions i just marked randomly and completed the paper. Also, sentence correction was an area where i was not able to do good.

Kindly suggest how to improve in Sentence correction and reading speed. My target score is 760+. Also suggest how to move to Q51 and V45

Thanks

Hi desertEagle,

First 660 is a solid score and suggests that you have the potential to hit your target score.

In verbal, timing problems almost always are related to test taking skills (ie. process issues) not conceptual knowledge gaps.

The same applies to going from Q49 to Q5/51. You need to fine tune your quant processes (particularly what you do in the 1st minute of working on each new question). I've worked with 1500+ clients exclusively on retakes and I can tell you with certainty that those early steps (capturing and preprocessing the information in the prompt and statement (DS) and then visualizing the problem away from the word paragraphs they give you).

Happy to discuss in more detail and give you more specific personalized insights on a call.
