Hi AnujL,

Did you try giving the folks at GMAC a call to see if they could help you out?

Hi AnujL,

I'm glad to hear that you were able to schedule your Official GMAT. With approximately 3 months of additional study, you could potentially improve a great deal. We last discussed your studies about 2 months ago (and you reported that you scored 590 on a 3rd-party CAT) - so if you are still looking to improve on your current Scores, then it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying over the last coupe of months:

1) Over the last 2 months, how many hours did you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used over the course of ALL of your studies? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) Is your overall goal score still 700+?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi Rich.
NO. I did not take any MOCK after that 590. Currently I am studying 2-3 hrs a day. I am targeting Q49 so I am focusing mostly on moderate level difficulty questions(55% to 65%). I think Q49 is very much achievable with 19-20 correct out of 31.
But anyway I will try for a Q50. Half of topics is covered already.
For Verbal, now I keep doing questions at every second or third day so I wont lose track of it.V35 to V38 is my target range.
I will be appearing for the original GMAT exam on April 8th.

Hi sivajith,

This is most likely your bank blocking the transaction on the basis of its own risk management rules. Have you tried using another card?

I agree. Likely the bank blocking a large transaction. I would call the bank to try to confirm that they are authorizing the transaction. Likely the issue is there.

Hi. This is pretty weird but I would do the old school thing - book your exam over the phone. There is a slight charge for this but it is not major like 15 or 25 bucks, so you can call them and go through the booking process on the phone.

I would go there. They may be able to tell you what the issue with the card. However, in 99% of the cases, it has something to do with the card.

Tried & tested: I was facing the same issue. The problem was most Indian credit cards are blocked for International payments which are in USD (Not converted in INR). To resolve this you have to contact with the respective bank customer care over the call and they will then unblock that transaction, after waiting for 30 min you can then proceed for the payment again.

Mine was the same problem, which is now resolved.
