HI Indrakumar95,

Those practice test scores indicate what you can expect to score on the GMAT. Also, I would take one more practice test before the real thing. If you do, let us know how it goes.

Hi Indrakumar95,

At face value, those two Scores imply that you are a strong overall critical-thinker - which is great. The overall accuracy of those results is based on number of factors though - so before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? Have you taken any other “brands” of CATs/mocks besides the 2 free Official CATs?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi,
I have been preparing for GMAT for the past 3 months now. I decided to give the free mock 1&2 to check my progress. I scored 720 and 730 in the mock. I have booked my exam slot on 7th August,so i have another 10 days or so to improve (My target score is 750+). What can i infer from my mock scores, are they indicative in any sense or should i take the score with a pinch of salt. Also is it recommended to purchase the other mock tests as well for better practice ?
Hi Indrakumar95,

If you weren't already familiar with the questions in those tests, then yes, those score estimates are representative. Keep in mind though that practice tests can't simulate exam-day pressure. Finally, if I were you, I'd take one more official practice test before the GMAT, but this isn't necessary.

All the best.

To answer your questions -
1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
- I put around 4-5 hours a day. Which comes around 30-35 hours a week.

2) What study materials have you used so far? Have you taken any other “brands” of CATs/mocks besides the 2 free Official CATs?
- I have solved the entire OG and verbal review. Along with study material and test from one of the coaching classes.
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
- I took my first attempt on 18/6 - Scoring 720 with Q50 and V38 and my second attempt was on 27/7 - scoring 730 with Q50 and V40
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
- I am planning to apply in R1. My target schools are - ISB/Krannert/Tepper/Ross/Scheller (Kelloggs - If i really do well)

I hope this helps

Hi Indrakumar95,

Since you are interested in some specific Schools, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement (and the more time that you have to act on that advice, the better). There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

I've also sent you a PM with some additional notes/suggestions.
