My passport is old and has my old signature and all my other government id's have my new signature. I am still able to do both signatures for that matter but I wanted to know what is the significance of the sign that they ask on the test day. They ask for passport and as far as I know only passport suffices. Or do I need to carry any other signed government id like pan card, DL, etc?
And can I do my new signature (not matching the one on the passport) on the test day?

I don’t think they care about your signature.
I don’t think you need to sign anything. You’ll do a palm scan but then your signature is just a formality that may be local.... Everything should’ve already been done electronically.

Wow, I honestly can’t recall whether I signed or not.
But just to be safe, I’d suggest using the same signature as on your passport, since that was the only ID proof they asked for along with the palm scan.
