Hi,
I'm not a GMAT expert, but I wanted to share some thoughts that might help.
Make sure your preparation doesn't backfire due to time pressure. Deadlines can make you feel rushed, and you might end up skipping over the basics. It's really important to give yourself ample time to build solid fundamentals first.
Take a mock exam — if you're scoring above 550, two months might be enough to identify and work on your gaps in order to reach your target score. But even if your score isn’t where you want it to be right now, don’t get discouraged. Do your best and give the exam a shot.
You were planning to apply next year anyway, so use these two months to make as much progress as you can. A guided GMAT course can definitely help — consider getting a 12-month subscription. That way, even if you don’t hit your desired score this time, you’ll have the resources to continue preparing and come back stronger.
All the best with your preparation!
