The New Official Guide 2026 - 2027 is Coming May 27!See more on Amazon (weird cover this year - ai generated maybe?)
As usual I expect it will be on Amazon (cheapest option) and also mba.com (digital version).
The retail price so far is $49.99. it will get discounted within the first day or week down to $39 or even $28 (that's where the
current version sits)
The biggest question is questions - 975 questions are listed as included. That is exactly the same number as last year but that does not mean it won't have new questions. Usually each year about 150 or so questions get added to the book (these are old retired questions from past exams). In my experience a question takes about 15-20 years to be retired and included in the OG. So anyone waiting for the Fresh amazing newest shiny questions from GMAT Focus - you will be looking at the questions that people took in 2008. (Though I do hope some of the new question types such as non-math related DS will get a boost and more will be updated; similarly DI did not show up until 2012, so those likely are only 10 years old.

Should you wait to buy the book? Usually not worth it and if you have a 2025-2026 edition, it is usually not worth upgrading. At the same time, if you got nothing, then buying the latest version makes sense (but don't buy multiple years as question overlap is significant).
Tip: do not buy the used copies those do not have online access codes you need for Graph, MSR, Table questions. These questions cannot be done on paper and require interactivity, so they can only be accessed online and require an activation code (good for 1 year of access).
