one interesting thing i noticed with the MGMAT tests is that if we buy any of the strategy guides we get immediate access to the 6 CAT tests for $26 ...

but if I buy just the tests it costs $39 ....

has anyone else noticed this as well ? what is the difference between the two products (cos it seems backwards) ?

The tests from the books are good for 6 months. The ones you buy online are good for a year.
Do not see any other difference. Probably just a marketing trick :)

Yeah ... I called them to check if there is any difference between the tests either way ... seems like they are the same

other than the validity time one additional thing is the strategy guide is $26 + shipping which can be around $12 for just ground delivery ...

given that i'm gonna give my gmat in a few days ... i'm gonna go for a strategy guide ...

This seems to be the case. I'm not sure if this is a difference, but when you buy a book you get 6 tests for 6 months. The exam pack, on the other hand, gives you unlimited tests for a year (I think).

Also, the books are only $26, but shipping can be expensive. Shipping to my location was around $20, so if I wanted only the tests, it would have been cheaper to buy them on their own (no shipping cost). Just a heads up.

Hey guys,

There seems to be some confusion regarding our Strategy Guides and CAT exam access so I want to clarify everything:

The purchase of any new physical MGMAT Strategy Guide ($26) comes with 1 year access to all 6 CATs.
The purchase of any MGMAT Strategy Guide e-book ($9.99 at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and iTunes) comes with 6 month access to all 6 CATs.
You may also purchase 1 year access to the same 6 CATs at the official Manhattan GMAT store for $39.

Let me know if you still have any questions.

Best,
