Hello All,
Thanks for providing such a wonderful forum! I remember joining a similar one for GRE long time back
Well, I am a female candidate with a master's in Civil Engg & 2 yrs of work exp. I recently was let go
& since then have been deciding what next. I want to keep MBA as a backup option though job
would be my 1st preference right now.
So my query is, is scoring a 700-720 score do-able in 2 month time frame? I plan to take a Fall 2010 admit.
Also I am aiming for Texas schools (UT or A &M ) only due to family reasons.
Kindly let me know what approach do I use.

Your question is very subjective as the ability to attain your goal depends on your starting point for the GMAT.
Some people can break the 700 mark with only a short amount of prep. Some people need a fair to a great amount of prep to achieve the same score.

Take a diagnostic test to assess where you currently are.
You have many options including the GMATClub tests.

Follow the suggestion Mohater gave you and also, take a GMAT Prep practice test (download GMATPrep) - see what you score is and then we can talk.
We had one guy who was really worried and did not know which books to use, and then took a practice test and scored 750. Did not need anything
