Hi,
I wrote my gmat recently and got 44 in quant. I know it is pretty low.
I would be retaking gmat in another 1.5 months. This time I would like to hit the 48 - 49 mark in quant.
Please suggest me some tips to acheive this score.

I just wrote gmat prep and tallied the questions I got wrong that I was entirely capable of getting right.
I will say a large proportion of these was simply because I did not pay enough attention to the question. Because we are generally rushed on time, we (or at least I do) try to skim the questions to get straight to the working the problem. When you do this, it is easy to miss little things that make the question a lot easier, ie: restraints such as integers, key words... one of the questions even went so far as to underline the word "different" numbers, and I somehow still missed that! So my bit of advice for what it's worth is to read the question carefully!

I did have that issue, but you really cant clack in the actual exam. You will be concentrating with all your efforts there.
My problem was that, I did not pay much attention to overlapping sets and I thought I will make an educated guess to those questions. But to my horror, I got aroung 5 problems from overlapping sets. That should have got my score to 44 I guess. But this time I am not going to take any chances. I want to defenitely nail the quant section.

Would recommend MGMAT Number Properties.
You may also look into GMAT Club Tests (there are 2 free ones)

I think you really need a good review of math to bump yourself up from the 44 to the 49/50 level.
I had a really good experience with the 5 manhattan gmat math books. They do a really comprehensive review of common gmat topics, and they also breakdown some tricky questions to allow you can solve them faster.
