Hello Everyone,
I’ve searched the forums up and down for about 3 weeks now. Spent alot of time in "building your study plan", reviews on all books, gmat experiences, etc etc.
I’m shooting to take this test in July/August of 2010. I’ve been out of the quant/verb loop for a lonnnng time now. As for practice test taking, my quant and verb. are almost embarrassing to reveal, trust me. I’m looking for a couple good books to get me started from the ground up. I have 7-8 months, if I can devote a couple months here to refresh on all basics, I think that will leave plenty of time to hammer home the strategies most of you start with.
Can anyone advise on a couple basic books to start with? Why do I feel like I need to steal text books from the local high school?

I actually printed that sticky when I first came to this forum. I was really just looking for some different books that have worked for others. Ive read tons of reviews on here and Amazon and other sites, it just seems most post'ers seem to be a bit more advanced or are starting off a bit ahead of where I might be currently (needing a solid review of all the arithmetic, algebra, etc).
