Hello,
I have not taken the actual GMAT test yet, but have taken a number of practice CATs, and I have seen a ride range of difficulty. Two of my recent CAT results are below.
Manhattan GMAT 690Quant: Missed 18 questions and got a score of 44
Verbal: Missed 16 questions and got a Score of 39
Knewton CAT Practice
640Quant: Missed 7 Questions and got a score of 42
Verbal: Missed 5 Questions and got a score of 36
What i take from this is overall the Manhattan question were of a much higher difficulty than the Knewton Questions, because I scored higher while missing many more questions.
The frequency of missed question was pretty well distributed on both test (I did not miss a large number of questions in a row).
My question is: What should I expect on the actual test? A larger number of harder questions which a missed question wont significantly hurt my score, or a larger number of easier questions where a missed question can have a large impact?
Or does each test differ so there is no way to know?
