I'm obviously a little (just a little
) biased but here are a few reasons why you should consider Veritas Prep:
1. Veritas Prep offers more hours of classroom preparation than any other leading course. Why does this matter? We don't teach tips and tricks; we actually teach you the higher-order thinking skills necessary for you to do well on the GMAT. (Note the new section that GMAC added to the GMAT last week... This is very consistent with our philosophy, which is why BusinessWeek and Inside Higher Ed interviewed us about the new GMAT.) This type of thinking simply can't be taught in under 30 hours, which is why our course is 42 hours long.
2. We only hire instructors who have scored in the 99th percentile. Because we teach the higher-order thinking skills that are needed to excel on the GMAT (and in business school), we are very picky about making sure that every instructor we hire has demonstrated these skill himself or herself. Just one in ten instructors who apply for a teaching job with Veritas Prep is even considered for hire.
3. Veritas Prep offers 15 practice CATs, plus seven in-depth diagnostic exams. We believe that practice tests and diagnostics are best used to measure your progress, which is why we offer more of them than anyone in the industry. Plus, our students complete an online diagnostic test once a week during our seven-week Complete Course.
4. If you take our course and don't get the GMAT score you want, or just want to prepare some more before taking the exam, you can take the course again free of charge. While many of our students complete the course and feel that they're very well prepared for the GMAT, if you want to take the course again any time within six months, just call us and we'll gladly put you in the next course, no questions asked.

He mentioned the curriculum. We are very proud of our curriculum and have a dedicated curriculum development team who work hard to make sure our content is up-to-date. As with Veritas, we teach the content and material, and then use that material to apply it strategically to the test. You can be sure our material is great by searching for reviews of our books, which are discussed at great length on this forum. You can also find reviews on amazon (like the ones here: https://www.amazon.com/Sentence-Correcti ... 982423861/) When even just our books get such great reviews, you know the content in the class will be great too!
While both Veritas and Manhattan GMAT hire 99th percentile instructors, Manhattan GMAT doesn't just stop there. Not only do we feel that it is important to be intelligent to teach well, but we also think it is imperative to know how to be a good teacher, which is why we also only hire instructors who have prior teaching experience. Of the instructors who meet these two criteria, we interview in multiple stages (even flying them to New York if they are interviewing for another location!) and hire about 1 in 6 of those we bring in for an in-person audition. Once hired, instructors go through over 100 hours of training before they are allowed to teach with us. We also pay our instructors the highest in the industry: $100 an hour so you know you will find yourself with a smart, dedicated and enthusiastic instructor who loves to teach.

Our Computer Adaptive Tests are made in-house by our dedicated curriculum development team. If you search through this forum, you'll find that there is a general agreement that our tests are very accurate and a good way to practice. While you are always welcome to take our course a second time, if you take our class, and don't do as well as you had hoped on the first time around, we offer a Post Exam Assessment. If the course didn't help you the first time, we don't necessarily want you to take again! Instead, we have you tell us how you did, what you did to study, etc, and one of our instructors talks to you for about an hour about what would be the most beneficial going forwards, whether it's learning how to control nerves, focusing on timing, or simply taking the class again.
