Hi,
I had applied thru Consortium last year to 4 schools & got admit from my #3 school & admit+full fellowship from #4 school. However, since the school wasnt my favorite, I passed up on the offer & didnt attend any B school.

Applying again thru Consortium this year. I wonder if my action of turning down admission+ fellowship last year might have some negative impact on my chances this year (schools might not offer me fellowship thinking I have a past record of turning it down anyways).
Your thoughts please..

I don't know if it will affect your chances. I'd have to think that it might. But the bigger question is why did you apply to a school that you didn't want to go to in the first place?

yeah...if you are ever applying to a school you wouldn't actually attend - you're doing it wrong.

But I don't think it'll hurt you as long as you can come up with a legit reason why you didn't attend those schools (the reason of "you're not good enough for me" is not a valid one) and I wouldn't apply to those same schools again.
