All, I was reviewing my already submitted Tuck Application and noticed that my response to Supplementary question includes the keywords "MIT Sloan". I copied this essay as it was an explanation for not using current supervisor's recommendation.
I spent countless hours polishing my Tuck essays but screwed up on this last, not so important question and have been cursing myself as Tuck is my #1.
I asked Tuck for a TOEFL waiver as I have been in the US for over 4 years. Two weeks back I took TOEFL for a different school and got a 112. My GMAT verbal was 74 percentile and awa 5.0.
Should I send an email to Tuck Adcom
1) with the TOEFL score to strengthen my "English ability"
2) At the same time, admit that I copied the last essay from MIT and apologize for the mistake....and will mention that the other essays are original and specific to Tuck(even though I have no doubt that Adcom can see that themselves).
I am not able to think straight with the number of essays I am writing, so need your help!!!

1. I don't think that you need to send them your TOEFL score. Your GMAT verbal of 74 is actually higher than most native English speakers, and I don't know how a TOEFL of 112 would necessarily strengthen their perception of your English language skills. I know someone who got a TOEFL of 119 and a GMAT verbal of 68.
2. Don't admit that you wrote about Sloan. This will only draw attention to it. As frustrating as this sounds, the most riskless thing you can do now is say nothing at all. If it makes you feel better, I think another GMATClubber wrote "Cornell" in his Columbia essay and was accepted. But it all depends on the application reader, of course.
