Hello
In the second attempt of my gmat, I attained the score stated above. My first attempt was 680(v34,q50). I am quite saddened by the fact that my Q score reduced. I am planning to take gmat for the third time but I am seeking some answers before I go for it.
My background : I am an engineer with an MS degree, working in CA and want to switch my career track. I am taking online Business related courses to support my application and to gain some preliminary knowledge of the field.
1. I am planning to apply to top 10 Bschools and I am not sure what score I should be comfortable with. I want to achieve 750 with q50/51 but I would like to know how much does gmat really count, given that I do not have significant knowledge or experience of the business domain in general.
2. Even if I achieve 730+ score, what else should I focus on to make equip myself with necessary skills?
Years of exp : 4yrs in tech
Have held a few leadership roles in the past and working towards gaining more leadership experience before I apply.
Have led teams for volunteering
have taken a couple business related one off courses
Any other suggestions to make my profile stronger are welcome. I am currently trying to gain as much knowledge and develop as many skills as possible to become the right candidate for the top 10 Bschools.
Thanks !
