I am sorry to be the most blunt of the group but I do not think there is much you can do. Any effort to reach out (call or email) is going to look like you are making an excuse. Unless there was something truly extenuating about the exam itself (e.g., you were sick, the power went out in the middle, etc.), the school is not going to really take into consideration your reasoning. Not that you can hide the exam, but you are also drawing attention to it in this way.

At this point, as painful as it may be, I would just wait for the results. If you are really feeling super motivated, you could take the exam again and, by some chance, you are put on a waitlist, you will have a hopefully better score you can submit. If you don't get on a waitlist, you could use this new score if you end up needing to reapply. Otherwise, this is out of your hands.

Good luck,

Hi guys😊

I just got my gmat score, unfortunately a 540 (Q44, V20), I am applying to an european mba that has average of 650 and a range of 540-750.

Today was their deadline, so I have uploaded this gmat score.

My question is, should I call them and say something regarding my score, for example: I know I can do better, I will take it again in a month even though you have already close you application process... Bla bla bla or I should not say anything at all and just wait?

Many thanks for you help, is really appreciated.

Hello gastoneMIT,

Not sure if this would be of help anymore but posting what we think about this, nonetheless.

Saying anything will not help because it will sound like an excuse; frankly, the only correct approach is to retake the GMAT in a timely manner (if possible) and re-send the updated score before the school has made a decision. Rest, one can only wait and watch and perhaps apply next year with an improved score.

All the best!
