Nikhil Yes. I did correct myself right away. This was during the end of interview and was followed by 4-5 additional questions. I hope the blunder doesnt hurt my chances.

I accidentally said Wharton XXX Club instead of saying Kellogg XXX Club. Is it over for me?

The interview was long, detailed and lasted 50 mins though.

It is completely all right! Schools understand. If you realize you made a mistake, it's best to acknowledge it then and there and move on. This shows that you are self-aware and can handle stress in a professional manner.

best wishes

Hello

I don't think your slip of the tongue should be a problem at all since interviewers are typically empathetic towards candidates, especially if they're experienced and/or have gone through the process themselves.

It's also important to keep in mind that the outcome of an interview is not usually determined by a single data point. Since you mentioned that your interview lasted for 50 minutes, I'm sure there's a lot of other great information you provided. And since you did correct yourself, it does demonstrate your presence of mind and confidence.

All the best!

Not an issue. Do not worry about it.
I don't think it is end of the world and good for them perhaps to hear they have some competition ;-)

P.S. Most interviewers don't care about the details really (I recently talked to one one of the alums and they complained about how the people they were interviewing kept going and going about their work and projects that were irrelevant). I am not saying your interviewer was not listening - seems the opposite but they get overburdened with information and filter most of it out and may not have even heard or cared enough to put this into the notes.

For the interview process, someone else will read the notes most likely to make the judgement call on your candidacy so that Wharton slip will never be known
