Indian Engineer final year Cgpa : 8/10 ( by the time of graduation) - BITs Pilani ( top 10 uni) Gmat : 760 Ec: 1)Volunteered in an NGO for 3 years Organised Events and was very active in it.

2)Founded a start up - productivity app for students to collaborate and learn together Had 100 paid users and 1000+ downloads for a year and half

3) core member in various clubs

4) CFA level 1 completed - 90th percentile

5) finance minor at uni

6) various finance courses online with certifications

Internship : 2 month summer internship at start up 5 month internship at Credit Suisse 3 month summer internship at another startup finance role Target school : LBS mim , LSE mfin , Oxford MFE , Imperial Mfin Would like to know any other program in Europe that suits my profile ? And also do you think shall i apply for deferred mba ? What are my best options for IB jobs ?

cloudxd1724 Your best bet is to look for schools that have sent a significant number of students into investment banking in the last three years and have a broad network of alumni in the industry. Large banks focus their recruiting efforts on these schools and often reserve spots for a certain number of students at these schools. If you have not already done so, this should be the next step in your application journey. My picks for MFin would be - LSE, LBS, Imperial, Oxford, Cambridge Bocconi, HEC Your overall profile is good (strong undergrad, solid GMAT, finance academics). When you apply, you should be aware of what each school looks for in MFin applicants. In general, LSE's MFin programs and similar masters programs focus more on confirming your academic motivation for further study of the metier in the SOPs, while MiM adcoms will focus on your leadership potential. Also, consider networking your best friend. There is nothing better than approaching the professors you would like to be mentored by and asking them meaningful questions about their subject area. Visit the campus in person if possible and meet the staff. This will also give you high quality material to talk about in the academically oriented SOPs. cloudxd1724 - Some thoughts on your profile and queries: 1. Deferred MBA could be a strategic move depending on whether you're certain about pursuing a career in IB and willing to gain some work experience (ideally in IB/ related roles) pre-MBA. If you're more focused on gaining specialized knowledge in Finance first, MiM/ MFin programs are the better choice. If you choose deferred/ MBA and your work-ex (prior to the program) isn't in consulting or IB, it usually is difficult to land a role in IB later. 2. In terms of MiM vs MFin, the main differences are the focus areas of study (MiM is broader covering the business concepts overall; MiF is focused in Financial concepts/ applications) and duration (MiM's are usually longer - 2 years + 1 optional gap year in some programs; MFin's are shorter: usually b/w 12-18 months). IB's recruit from both programs, so looking at the employment statistics of your target program can help. 3. While it's speculative to suggest programs based on an initial assessment, I would suggest paying attention also to the class profile of your target schools if you haven't already. For example, LBS MiF doesn't normally consider applicants with fewer than two years' work-ex, compared to their MFA program which is open to fresh graduates. 4. IB recruiting is mostly internship and referral-driven, so connecting with folks in the domain can help establish a network in-place, which can also help mid/ long term. Hope this helps a bit.
