Hi, I am 25 year old looking to do an MiM. I have a B.tech in computer science with 3 internships in the same field and 18 months of experience as a GenAI Engineer. I am also very fond of sports and have been the part of my school cricket team and the captain of the table tennis team. I have published a research paper in machine learning field as well.Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Your GenAI engineering background paired with a published ML paper is an unusual combination for MiM applicants, most of whom arrive straight from undergraduate with no research credentials at all.
• The 18 months of post-grad experience actually puts you in an interesting position: many top MiM programs (LBS, HEC, ESADE, IE) have a soft ceiling around two years of work experience before they redirect you toward MBA. At 18 months you still fit comfortably, but the clock matters if you are planning to apply a year from now.
• The research paper is your sharpest differentiator, but only if your essays connect it to a concrete problem you want to solve through management training. Without that bridge, adcoms read it as an academic credential, not a leadership signal.
• Three internships in the same domain tells a focused story, which is good, but the risk is appearing too technical for a general management program. The question worth answering in your application is: what does someone with your depth of AI engineering actually need a business degree to accomplish?
• Your cricket and table tennis captaincy is useful color, but leadership claimed through sports needs a specific moment, a decision under pressure, not just the title.
The one thing to work on today: write two sentences explaining why an MiM, specifically, and not a master's in CS or an AI-focused technical degree. That answer becomes the spine of your entire application.
