Hi everyone I recently been thinking about an idea a lot. I am super interested in your opinions on this proposition.
I feel like a lot of brilliant students, like you, are working really hard... but mostly alone or just inside their university bubble.
What I’d love to build, and I’m just starting to talk to a few people about it, is a kind of international community (like a student club) that connects exceptional students from different universities and backgrounds, mostly in finance, engineering, and tech.
The idea is simple: to create a strong network of smart, driven people across the world, so that wherever you go - London, New York, Paris, Singapore, Milan, ... - you always find someone from the community. It would work using a simple platform like
whatsapp and a database for people to quickly find members that share interest, knowledge, target company, values, location, ...
But it’s not just about networking. The second part is real projects, either internal projects that help you train on real cases, or small mandates from companies. So while you’re still studying, you can already build professional experience and work on things that actually matter.
I’d love to know your view on it, not as a pitch, but more to see if that feeling resonates with you too. Because I’m looking for a few founding members to build this properly from the ground up, and I want it to be co-created with people who see the same gap.
Please take a sec to give your opinion on it, super excited to read you guys.
Best,
Julien
