There is something that is not gelling well with the use of a semicolon and a subordinate clause following it. A semicolon, as a matter of thumb rule, should be followed by a somewhat related IC. But, none of the clauses in the given five choices can be termed as an IC because of the intrusion of the subordinate conjunction- though-, which renders the respective clauses dependent. I am unable to pass any choice, purely on grammar, unless there is some recent rule that permits such constructions these days.
