The runaway success-has led- . Eliminate A,B, and C.

Between D &E, both have their own set of problems.

D has ambiguous pronoun their and E uses being unnecessarily.

I'd choose D only because pronoun ambiguity isn't a problem.

The given sentence has S-V error.'The runaway success' is the subject which is singular here. Hence instead of 'have', 'has' should be used. Apart from this error, the sentence has no other errors. 
Only option D and E have used 'has' but in E 'being extruded' looks fishy.
Hence option D is the best option according to me.

Read the Original Sentence Carefully, Looking for Errors:

The underlined portion contains the main verb of the sentence, “have led.” The subject of that verb is “the runaway success,” all the way back at the beginning of the sentence.
