This one is all about the meaning. After parsing through all the statements, I couldn't process it at first but later I got the intended meaning of the correct statement.
A. The new state constitutions were objective to adherents of the old order more because of their origins but ==> were objective? Okay so the new state constitution is neutral towards adherants of old order because so and so...is it the intended meaning? I guess no.
Grammatically, But is also a problem. Eliminate A
B. The new state constitutions were objects to adherents of the old order more because of their origins but ==> were objects==> new constitution was a object to adherents. Makes no sense. Also but is a problem, so eliminate B.
C. The new state constitutions were objectionable to adherents of the old order more because of their origins than ==> new constitution was objectionable to adherents to old ones...okay this makes sense. Grammatical errors are also not found. Let's keep this one.
D. The new state constitutions objected to adherents of the old order less because of their origins than ==> new constitution objected to adherents==> how can a document object to people? Eliminate D
E. The new state constitutions were objectified to adherents of the old order more because of their origins than ==> new state constitutions were objectified to adherents==> meaning + grammer both incorrect. Eliminate E.
We have a clear winner in C
