Ans is E

Options D and E compare
the aluminum plant's agreement back to the generic agreements - the subject of the statement.

Between D and E, E is more crisp and conveys the meaning fairly well.

Hence, OA : E

Posted from my mobile device

Also Even i was confused between "d" and "E" ....but "Equals" is used here. i don't know whether the usage of "S" is correct in "Equals".

Let Wait for OA

Unlike many collective bargaining agreements, which insist on treating broad classes of workers as equals, employees at the aluminum plant are compensated based on a wide range of criteria even if they have less than six months on the job.

(A) broad classes of workers as equals, employees at the aluminum plant are compensated based on a wide range of criteria Incorrect

comparison error - agreements compare with employees

(B) broad classes of workers as equal to each other, employees are compensated in the plant's agreement based on a wide range of criteria Incorrect

same as A

(C) workers as classes of equals, the aluminum plant's agreement compensates its employees based on a wide range of criteria Incorrect

its refers to agreement that is incorrect

(D) broad classes of workers as equal to one another, the aluminum plant's agreement establishes that employees are compensated based on a wide range of criteria Incorrect

one another uses redundant

(E) broad classes of workers as equals, the aluminum plant's agreement establishes that employees are compensated based on a wide range of criteria Correct

I don't agree with the usage of Equals because it suggests there are other broad classes than those considered to which the broad classes are considering are equal.
I thus prefer to one another because it compares broad classes with those we consider in the period. Thus I would say D
